There are some questions that are too important to ignore. Join us starting on Sunday April 7th as we examine some of the most import questions that you will ever ask yourself. What is the purpose of life? Do I exist only for my own glory or is there something more? Was I meant for something greater than this? Does my life have value? What does God want from me? In other words… “What on earth am I here for.”
“Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I say pray, “Father, save me from this hour? But for this very reason I came. Father, bring glory to your name.” Jesus (John 12:27,28)
Easter is a special time of celebration. We believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. This week we celebrate that fact that God loved us so much he was willing to send His one and only Son. We celebrate that God was willing, through his Son, to take on Himself the punishment that we deserve. We celebrate that through the death, burial and resurrection, all who believe are born again and are children of the living God.
Please Join us this week as we celebrate God’s love, and victory in Jesus Christ.

Discovery Church will be in the 2012 St. Paul Park Heritage Days parade today at 11am. Look for us near the front of the parade, right before Hope Christian Academy. Our float theme is Family Movie Night, and we’ll be passing out several hundred bags of free popcorn along the parade route. We had a crew here late last night finishing the float preparation, and we had the popcorn maker fired up early this morning to make all the fresh popcorn for today!
St. Paul Park has a full schedule of events this weekend for Heritage Days, including a carnival downtown throughout the weekend. In addition, Discovery Church will be showing a Family Movie Night double feature today, with the first movie at 3:00pm and the second movie at 6:00pm. If you’re in St. Paul Park for the festivities today, why not come by for one of our movies? Sign up at TryDiscovery.org/MovieNight for specific movie titles and other information.
Our Free Family Movie Nights have been going well so far this summer! Our next movie night is coming up on Saturday, July 28th, at 6:00pm. Look for the movie posters at the church building for details, or look for more information in your bulletin on Sunday!
After two movie nights in July, we’ll have one more night in August, on the 18th, during Heritage Days. We’ll be showing a matinee at 3:00pm and an evening movie at 6:00pm. Once we move into fall, we’ll be doing family movie nights once a month throughout the school year.
If you’d like to help with the family movie nights, or if you have suggestions or requests for specific movies, please talk to Rob Brock, Worship Pastor at Discovery Church.
