WELCOME to Discovery Community Church

We are an independent, non-denominational church voluntarily affiliated with both the Christian Church movement and the Church of God.

What does that mean? It means we're not the only Christians, but we're Christians only.

We believe that all people matter to God and therefore they matter to us. Our doors are open to people from all backgrounds regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.

At Discovery Community Church, we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible where there's relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, consistent prayer, and compassionate care for those who are in need. In short, we would like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage our entire community, one life at a time.

So whether you are a spiritual seeker who's just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Discovery Community Church.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe...

  • In one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • God is the Creator of each person and all things.

  • In Jesus Christ, God's only Son and Savior of the world.

  • The Holy Spirit dwells within every Christian.

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

  • Each person has willfully sinned, and as a result is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

  • Salvation (forgivemess of sins) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ and his sacrificial death on the cross.

  • The Bible teaches that the pattern to follow to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is to believe in Him as God's Son and our personal Savior, to repent of personal sin, to confess Christ as Lord, and to be immersed in baptism.

  • The Church is the body and bride of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost, consisting of all born again Christians everywhere.

  • That I, as a Christian, am called to pursue a lifestyle of holiness.

  • That death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit eternal life; the unsaved, eternal separation from God.
